- Often, I lecture first on the main points, and then let the students work on an activity.
- Mostly, I let them solve problems related to the content, and then back it up with a short lecture.
- I often put them in a role-playing situation or applying critical thinking to the content.
- I`ll provide students with the correct content, and then let them find ways to apply it in class.

"Withdrawing." How much do your students depend on you in the classroom?
- When students ask me a question, I`ll often respond with "I don`t know, what do you think?"
- When a student asks if she has the right answer, I`ll tell her.
- I`ll let students practice an assignment before giving it full weight.
- By the second semester, I usually let my students make more decisions for themselves.

"Assessment." How should students be tested?
- I`d prefer a balance of formative and summative assessments.
- I prefer to base most of my grades on projects and not multiple choice tests. But I don`t have time.
- Summative tests are best when the data gathered is used to help reteach content.
- 3 week summative tests provide the best tool to measure where students are in their learning.
