Are you mature enough to be involved with someone whose a parent?

First off, are you already a parent yourself?

• Yes, I am a proud parent.
• No kids at the moment.

If your partner has a child, how do you handle the child visiting?

• I am not the nurturing and attentive type,so I leave and visit friends.
• I make sure the child has a good time during the visit.

When the stepchild visits, do you:

• Go out of your way to be nice to him/her.
• Avoid them at all cost.
• Not necssarily thrilled during visits so I deal with it the best way I can.

What is the most important aspect of being a stepparent?

• Letting go of personal insecurities, and acting like a mature adult about the whole thing.
• Supporting my partner because they are parents, and I respect their role.
• Getting along with the ex , for the sake of my partner and their child.

• I'm still trying to figure this one out.

What is the most difficult part of being with someone who has a child (children)already?

• Having to deal with the ex.
• Having to play stepmommy/stepdaddy to a child I barely even know.
• There are good points and bad points.I'm still getting used to it all.

What joys have you found in being a stepparent?

• Being able to claim them on my tax return.
• Are there supposed to be any?
• Having a positive influence and healthy interaction with the child, which strengthens my relationship.

How do you feel towards the Ex?(The other parent of the child)

• Have no problem with him/her. They both have moved on with their lives.
• Honestly can't stand him/her.
• Uncertain at this point.
• Really feel uneasy, insecure and intimidated because my partner and his ex still have feelings.

According to how you feel about your partners Ex, how does that reflect on the child?

• I am not so crazy about either one,so I don't get involved.

What type of partner do you have?

• No they were able to remain friends, even if for the child's sake.
