- Whether we call it a civil union or marriage should be left to the states, but civil unions should be legal if marriages are not.
- The entire same gender union issue should be left to the individual states.

- Gradual citizenship for current illegal residents of the US and future guest worker program.
- Guest worker program only.

- Against school vouchers. (Fear they might undermine public schools)
- In favor of school vouchers. (Belief they would stimulate the quality of education for all, and allow poorer students to enter into better educational environments)

- Maintain current tax cuts.
- Eliminate certain tax credits.

- The government should increase spending by approximately $300 billion and increase revenue to compensate
- The only way to eliminate or reduce the deficit in the long term is the reduction of spending.

- Citizens should be legally bound to have health care.
- Citizens with health care should have a tax credit as an incentive.
