it is so freaky this emo chick at my sisters school cut herself and she was bleeding and a guy who believed he was a vampire sucked her blood right from her vain. WHOEVER SAID THEY GOT VAMP. If you're suggesting they got the idea of a vampire from a real one, then you're wrong. I believe they exist in a mythological sense, yes. Vampires first origianted from a man named Vlad Tepes or Vlad 'the imapler'. He used to kill his enemies, impale their heads on spike and drink their blood, believing that the strength and power of that person would be transfered from their blood to him. Bram Stoker wrote about this in his novel Dracula, and the ideas have evolved from there, and folklore.
