emotional is what most ppl say it means but theres a really old band ppl should listen to and i heard that they were the real meaning so...
emo is a type of music and some ppl just started to use it as a way to describe themselves and the tpye of music they listen too. so their kind of music is they're life stlye in a way. so in other words,emo is a type of music that is really emotional since it is a type of genre that you can really express yourself in. 8-P hope it helps! (idk if i'm really emo,since your quiz said i am,but i don't like labels!)

k! I got ur an emo result! As promised I will comment as to what emo means emo is short for emotional......The emo trend started out around the 90's. And I don't think emo means that u have to cut urself and cry all the time I also don't think that u have to be suicidal.......Anyways.....emo according to me means expressing urself and not caring what the whole world thinks about u. It's more to do with what u think about urself. Emo also means to be independent and being urself....

my definition of emo..btw I got emo..well really random people who like metal, screamo and emocore music, they like things that are related to art: may it be poetry, painting, photography or creating music, they like to make their own fashion..which must be very different to what is "hot", and pretty much don't care what other people say..and they get emotional and are sometimes depressed.
I don't really know the proper definition of emo. Different people say different things.
-i got Emo btw- It has a lot to do with music i think, and it is interprated in so many different ways it gets confusing.
