The community is available and meets every Friday. They invite you to come on Friday morning for Building the dream, but most of the SALT team are free only the week-end

You tell the community that you can’t be there on Friday, and ask for another rendezvous that can fit community and SALT team

The team is facilitating a self assessment SALT visit, you should be the reporter but you see that your teammate in charge of facilitation is in trouble explaining the 5 levels
You don’t want to disturb the division of task and keep your advices for the after action review. One also learns from his mistakes
You wait for the right time (a break/ a silence in the debate) to share your vision of the 5 levels. Then you ask the other facilitators to add on your view.
You interrupt the facilitator and explain to the participants the true meaning of the different levels

In the context of the e-course, you’ll have a group meeting tonight after work. You are very busy and couldn’t prepare your exercises before
You don’t come to the meeting. It’s not interesting to come unprepared.
You come and apologize for not completing your exercise. At least you’ll learn from other team members’ exchanges
It can’t happen, you’re very committed to this e-learning and manage your time efficiently to complete the course.

During a “building the dream” visit, you see that you can’t get to a common dream because the group is too big
You divide the group with regards to age and gender
You keep on trying to get the common dream by giving your view and interpretation
You ask the group if they would agree to divide in subgroups. You ask them how they would like to do it (by age, gender, socio-professional group...)?

After a visit, you do the after action review. One has to report on it. You’re not that good in report writing.
You pass your turn, because you’re not a good reporter
You volunteer; it’s an occasion to build your writing and summarizing skills together with your team.
You accept only if one team member accepts to review and edit your report
6
Do you know by heart the 10 practices? Have a try now without looking at the framework.
You remember only 3 or 4. You are not comfortable with the content of the framework yet.
You can name more than 6. You understand all of the practices.
You know the 10 practices and can explain them easily

When going on SALT visit in underprivileged area, you feel sorry for the participants’ destitution
You proposed to your team to get some food and cloth to distribute during the next visit.
Together with the team, you look for NGOs and institutions in this area that could help. Then you contact them and report on what you’ve seen during the visit.
In spite of their appearance, you know that they have strengths! In preparing the implementation of action plan, you propose the participants to list the resource-institutions which can help them.

In your everyday life, do you apply SALT?
Not really. It’s interesting when going on the field as a professional or as a member of association, but you don’t see how to apply it in your private life
A bit. Some principle like active listening, support and stimulation are easy to apply in social and personal life.
Totally. Everything you’ve learned is likely to be transferred for your personal and professional development.
