Sinking

Running down the beach, venting some frustration
Feeling the warm breeze against my bare chest.
Sweat pours down my face, i stare into the water
I see how it punishes the sand
But the sand stays as is
It wont budge, it stays untouched.
I pick up a handful and it just seeps away.
Is it possible i can be sand?
That i can melt away when you try to see me?
When you come with a vengeance i stay untouched.
Is it possible? Can I do it?
I begin my walk into the water.
