Matthew 08-12-2007 at 11:28 PMI have a few friends that are super-supportive as well as my family and grandparents! Love also supports me as I am accepting of all diets whether I feel they are right or wrong for me or not. This creates much ease for me in my life as it relates to food.

Allison 08-13-2007 at 11:12 AMMy friends and family support me but they are not knowledgeable and therefore cannot be supportive in an educational way. However, that's where the books and the internet come in. The local raw cafe probably provides the best local "flesh-and-blood" support I could ask for, however. Knowledgeable staff, lots of books, great food, and like-minded patrons.

Ally 08-13-2007 at 3:59 PMMy mom has gone raw with me! It's been a couple of weeks for her & I'm so proud of how she has completely changed her diet... I've been vegan for 3 years & have recently started being raw. But I know that having her be so supportive makes a world of a difference.

Matt 08-13-2007 at 8:51 PMMy wife started us on this trip, partly as a health change, partly as a diet plan. Since then, I've really taken to it, eating stuff that I used to hate (tomatoes, peppers, etc...). I've always been thin, but I'm starting to get more energy and really like this feeling and don't want to go back to being tired (I have Epstein Barr, which can drag you down).

Kim 08-14-2007 at 12:25 PMMy husband supports me, but a few comments about it being a bit wierd. Generally friends have a lot to say - some good, some critical. Struggling with going to friends for dinner! Feel energised so it's worth the ups and downs!!

Briana 08-17-2007 at 6:57 PMmy sister is supportive and has committed to going raw as well. My father is supportive, but my mom is not and continues to bring processed foods in the house and makes rude comments about our choice of diet.

Jessica 08-24-2007 at 4:01 PMMost of my friends and family support me, but none of them are raw foodies. I'm the only one I know who is. I have one friend who is a vegetarian. Everyone I know says it's too hard for them, but they support me. But really, I'm finding it much easier than cooking and I feel great! That's good support right there.
I have two friends that suport me through anything, then there is my mom and my fiance who would do anything to keep me happy
