Yes I know what it means you jerk. Semi-Automatic-A pistol that is loaded manually for the first round. Upon pulling the trigger, the gun fires. Energy from the discharging bullet is used to eject the fired round, cok the firing mechanism and feed a fresh round from the magazine. The trigger must be released after each shot and pulled again to fire the next round.
Ok, it's pretty obvious you've never read the guide, so let me clear a few things up...
1. Bicycle would be best because its plenty fast enough to outrun a slow moving corpse, uses no fuel, is very silent, and is the only vehicle that can be carried if terrain gets too rough.
2. Semiauto rifles are best because you can get clean accurate headshots if you take your time, and the ammo is MUCH lighter than 12 ga. Don't believe me? Try carrying 100 or so for a day.
3. Any sort of armor would just weigh you down, restrict your speed and mobility, make you hot and uncomfortable, and would be totally ineffective against a group of Gs surrounding you, they'd peel you open like a tin of beans.
SOME MOVIES AND ZOMBIES WOULD NEVER GET YOU ON A PLANE BECUZ THEY CANT FLY PLUS THEY COULD NEVER GET THROUGH THE THICK STEAl PLATED DOORS AND PLANES CAN HOLD A LOT OF SUPPLIES AND FOOD!!!! THREE WEPONS WOULD WEIGH YOU DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY!!!!! TWO IS BEST SHOTGUN ON BACK MAGNUM IN HAND SHOTGUN IN HAND MAGNuM ON BELT!!!! NEIGHBOR POUNDING ON DOOR YELLING BRAINS? A plane uses fuel very fast. You'd run out of fuel and crash. A shotgun has to be from point blank range to get a solid head shot. A bike is the best because it can go 20 m.p.h, no fuel, cover all terrain etc.
And zombies wouldn't need to fly to get on the plane. They could turn in midair, and you'd be stuck in a plane overrun with zombies, plunging to the ground.
In addition to MVP's bashing of your plane idea (btw, are you a certified pilot?), the choice of 3 weapons is quite simple.
1. Primary Weapon - For me, a trusty lever action.
2. A Backup - A pistol in 9mm or .45 should do the trick.
3. A light melee weapon that could be used for close combat, or for a silent kill - A crowbar would be excellent, especially since you can use it to bust a padlock or open a door/crate.
And magnums? Can you say OVERKILL? Stick with something lighter.
I think there would be a news story of a decaying humanlike thing trying to bite people before "homicides in which the victims were executed by head shots or decapitation"

#4 bicycle: why it should be suv is simply b/c on a bike you are limited in speed and carrying capacity, and you have no protection whatsoever. a suv (or any similar vehicle) is better since you can carry alot and not limited in range, speed (or anything for that matter) as long as you got gas. And finally, a suv (or similar) is better since its more versatile and allows you to travel over a wide range of land without much problem. Don't worry about the roads. Only average people have problems.
#6 boat. what if you're landlocked? duh. and most coastal areas are just swarming with people. its a pain to get there and a bigger pain when you need to return for supplies.
#8 why 3 guns? why not as many as you can? that way there is no chance of running low on ammo since you have guns that will fire any cartridge you come across. 3 guns may be nice, but realistically if you had a akm, 12ga, 9mm, if you low on everything and came across a building of .223 wouldn't that suck? and no .223 rifl
