Would you be against The Party in secret, like Winston Smith? Openly against The Party, like Emmanuel Goldstein? A regular conformist citizen?

You're in class and the teacher asks everyone for their answer individually. Everyone responds the same, but you are pretty sure that they are wrong. What do you do?
- Say what everyone else is saying, you don't want to be singled out.
- Speak your mind, they could all be wrong and you could be right.
- If everyone else is saying that, then you must be wrong. They must be right.

You're out and you see a huge crowd of people. You go to see what's happening and you see that some guy is beating up someone who is much smaller and seemingly much younger. What do you do?
- It's not your fight, ignore it...even though you think it's wrong.
- You jump right it and try to stop the fight.
- If the smaller kid is being beat up, there has to be a good reason for it.

There is a vote for school president. You were one of the people to help count the votes and you know who won. When the winner is announced but it's the wrong person. What do you do?
- You probably counted wrong, or maybe there were some last minute votes.
- You want to say something, but what if you're wrong? You don't want the winner to think that you are trying to stop them.
- You say something immediately. You know who won and it isn't fair for them to lie.

$100 was stolen from your friend's wallet. A few of your other friends saw who did it and told you, but when confronted about it, they say that they don't know who did it. What do you say?
- You tell your friend about who took it. That person shouldn't be able to get away with taking money without asking.
- You go along with what your friends say...you want to say something but why start a fight with anyone?
- You never really saw what happened, so your friends must be telling the truth if they say they don't know now.

Suddenly, our government has become just like the government in 1984! What are you going to do about it!?
- What can we do? I'm just one person...I can't go up against the government.
- Overthrow the government! Anarchy!
- The government is obviously doing this for our benefit. Why fix something that isn't broken?
