    honestly, i think it's a pretty stupid tradition. groundhogs don't determine the season, the tilt of the earth's axis and the earth's rotation around the sun do. besides, if he sees his shadow or not can be determined on his location and the time of day. i mean, he's probably not going to see his shadow at night, or if the sun is directly above him and the shadow is being cast into the hole.
