yeah, because as long as you love a person, they can hit you and the law doesn't matter (/sarcasm). wether she forgave him or not doesn't change the fact that there are laws against these types of things.

He just needs a little therapy to help him, jail seems like a bit much. Plus we don't know what actually went down, and we can't be blamin him for somethin we dont know the whole truth about.
Beating a woman is never ok!! NOBODY asks or deserves to be beaten! If somone had asaulted him he'd have them in jail in no time... no matter who it was or for what reason.... Jail sounds fair.
