Does Pedro like me at all?

I changed school this September. In my new class there are many hot guys but I like Pedro, who isn't really handsome, popular or sporty but...he's so clever and...different!
The problem is I'm popular and all, so we don't have the same friends and we don't even talk!!!

    I sometimes notice him staring at me but as soon as I look at him he turns his head the other way!

    sometimes when i ask him something it takes him a long time to answer me back and when he finally does he looks at his shoes!

    my friends say he never had a girl and that he's a very shy guy but even the shyest person on earth would say 'good morning' to me! He never does! If there's another classmate with me he says!

    we chage classrooms at every class. He sits near me at most of the classes. what on earth does that mean?

    ...i'm ashamed of him as well! even though my friends say i shouldn't because i'm pretty and he's ugly...sometimes, when he asks me something, I just say 'yes' or 'no' and then I leave!!
