From your parenthood philosophies and attitudes towards children, this quiz will help determine what kind of mother you will be in the future. For this quiz let's assume you have a daughter.

Working mothers VS stay-at-home mothers. What would you be?
- I would want to be with my baby all the time. It's way better than work.
- I would cut down my work hours so I could spend more time at home.
- I wouldn't trust anyone but me to watch my child. No sitters.
- I would keep my career and hire a sitter most of the time.
- I'm not sure...

Your baby cries for attention constantly, and as soon as you pick her up she stops crying. How do you deal with this?
- Pick her up whenever she cries, just drop everything I'm doing. Baby comes first.
- Find her favourite thing and play with her whenever she's upset.
- Keep her in the same room as me while I'm doing chores, etc., just so she can hear me and knows I'm near.
- Leave her to cry until she understands that's not how to get her own way. I don't want to spoil her.
- Put her in front of the TV to keep her occupied.

Your toddler has a habit of throwing toys at people. What do you say to her?
- "That's not nice. If you keep using toys to hurt people, I will take your toys away until you can be nice."
- "Stop throwing things! Do you want a slap?"
- "Bash! Oo you got me! Hahaha!"
- "If you stop throwing things, mommy will give you candy."
- "Go play somewhere else - the grown-ups are talking."

What kinds of food would you feed your young child when she is able to eat solids?
- Quick and easy meals like microwaveables and fast food.
- The same kind of things as I eat - yummy things that we can both enjoy
- Whatever her favourite food is, and what she asks for when I go shopping.
- Some home-made things, some healthy things, some treats. Basically a mix of everything.
- Only healthy foods. Lots of fruit & veg, unfattening meals, no sweets.

What is your opinion on young children watching TV?
- It's fun to watch together as parent and child.
- Children should be able to watch TV when they want to, just like adults.
- TV is a good way of keeping kids occupied when you have something important to do.
- Not all TV is good for children, and there's such a thing as TOO much watching.
- Children shouldn't watch TV at a young age, because it stunts their mental growth.

Your 12 year old daughter wants to wear make-up, shave her legs, and dye her hair. She argues that she's the odd one out in school and she needs to fit in.
- Definately not! 12 is way to young! I don't want her to attract boys at such a young age.
- I would let her do some of those things, just so she doesn't feel like an oddball. But she shouldn't wear too much make-up at that age.
- It doesn't bother me. It would be nice for her to have a social life and be attractive.
- I won't like it since she's so young, but I don't want her to feel like the odd one out. I would probably let her.
- It would be so fun to teach her how to put on make-up and shave her legs, and then we can do beauty sessions together.

- That she become an intelligent, successful, and respected woman.
- That she become my best friend and share lots of fun times with me.
- That she moves out and has her own life and her own family.
