that was hardly a poem.
there was NO symbolism whatsoever. it just sounded like some little cynically depressed emo kid that wants attention and is TRYING to sound like a good writer but hardly knows the basics of writing.
go read a book, kid.
try shakespeare, you'll find out what REAL poetry is.
IGNORE THIS PERSON! Symbolism is for old schoolers and personally Shakespeare isn't as great as everyone makes him out to be. Now Edgar Allen Poe is a true genius. Of course we could argue all day about how everything iLOVEEzackaryydavid is completely incorrect but I'd much prefer getting along with my life. So in other news I enjoyed the poem. Short and Sweet and to the Point, can be so much more interesting than a pointless mismatch of symbiotic personifications.
(Oh and yes I'm highly aware Poe used symbolism. I just needed to point out that that's not what a poems all about. It's the story of ones true feelings and thoughts placed into understandable words, sometimes a story or even mere rambling. So sweetie don't take anything that person typed to heart. They are just seriously misinformed.)
symbolism isn't boring. it makes you think instead of information just being handed to you. and this "poem" is pathetic. it hardly qualifies as a poem. maybe if i had had one too many Quaaludes and red wine this would be good. but i haven't and it isn't. Poe was a genious and so was Shakespeare. they were both able to reach into the human mind and put that into words. anyone who can do that is incredible. and Shakespeare was as good as everyone has made him out to be, if not better.
symbolism isn't for old schoolers, it's for poets. this damn "poem" is a some kid that thinks they're the only with problems so they're gonna TRY and write some thing that makes it sound like their life is so hard and so much worse than everyone else's. this is someone's problem that i really don't care about because i have my own. misinformed. okay. they obviously didn't tach you much in grade school. i never said poems were completely symbolism. but if you have not even one metaphor or simile
then the poem is gonna suck. and i realized that i made a typo. i meant genius not genious

ignore the person up there TPP!!!!they have never read a good poem whatso ever(and i have red shakespaere he not that good i do like poe tho!) i love your poems they have a lot of meaning and i understand them really well and remember: i said you can tell me anything and everything so don't be afriad to speak up!
