actually its four in one month. Ed McMahan died in June as well. So there isn't really a three's death thing going on. Sorry to burst y'all bubble but the media only shows the three people. Still, they broke that theme in June because they broadcasted for all 4 celebrities, just Ed McMahan didn't get as much notice.

actually if you look it up. there are never really just three. It was only three people you know about in the news. No one heard that Dom Deluise, Beatrice Arthur, Andy Hallet (plays Lorne on tv series Angel), Bruno Gianelli (acted on West Wing), Ricardo Montalban, David Carradine, and Ed McMahan also died.
in the past 2 weeks, there's actually been 4 deaths.
I think it's just coincidence.
