The Love Cage Part 39

You are alone in the apartment after Randy left.

You - (talking to yourself) - How could I have married Randy when I am still in love with John -- what am I going to do?

The doorbell rings -- you answer it and there stands John.

John - I heard about Randy leaving early....did you get to talk to him?

You - No, not yet.

Before you know it John grabs you and starts kissing you -- of course you kiss him back.

John - (stopping) I can't believe your in my arms and that you finally admit that you love me. I love you.

He starts kissing you again -- he picks you up bridal style and heads towards the stairs.

You - (stop kissing him) John what are you doing? No, we have to stop...put me down -- we can't do this.

You kick a little causing John to put your feet back on the ground -- You walk over to the couch.

John - We love each other you don't know how bad I want to hold you in my arms -- you let me...

You - (interupting) I know and I shouldn't have -- everything is different now

John - I know but we are meant to be together Jen.

You - But we can't be together -- I don't know what I was thinking -- I am married to Randy -- Here's the ring (holding up your hand showing your wedding set)

John - You are making this so complicated -- when truly it's fairly simple either you want to be with me or not.

You - Of course I do...but not while I am still married to Randy so it's not simple. I married Randy because I thought I couldn't have a life with you. You told me I was a horrible person.

John - I know and I was wrong -- I lied -- I love you

You - Well, we have a lot to work out.

John - I know we do...I hate the person I became and I hate the way I treated you....but now I just want both us to be happy.

You - I want that too...but what about Randy? He has been so wonderful to me and I convinced myself that I loved him when deep down I knew that I will always love you. I should have never married him -- but I don't want Randy to pay for our mistakes...he is off working on a movie it's going to be hard to get in touch with him because he is out of the country and will be gone for months.

(I forgot to mention that Randy was going to be Australia to shoot the movie so it would be hard to keep in touch with him)

You - I just think it's too late for us until Randy comes back and we can tell him face to face.

John - No, it's never too late there is gotta be way we can both tell Randy that we love each other and want to be together. Because I don't know how long I can keep myself from wanting you.

He kisses you passionately this time.

You - I know we have to tell Randy about us -- I just dread it -- We are stuck in this bad situation and the only one that is going to get hurt is Randy and he doesn't deserve this because the only mistake he made was loving me.

John - I don't want you to blame yourself a lot of this is my fault but we can't go back in the past and change what has happened we can only learn from our mistakes. We can tell Randy the truth.

You - Then what if the truth makes things worse and we can never be together.

John - Oh My God...everything I love about you is going to take you away from me -- Honestly, Loyality, Commitment.

You - I know ....I am just so confused I can't even think straight anymore I need a little time to sort all this mess out.

John - I understand...I'll go and give you some time ...but can I get another kiss just to hold me over?

You smile at him as to answer yes....he leans down and kisses you.

John - (looking at you afterwards) It's gonna be ok.

You - Promise?

John - I promise

You - Thank you for being so understanding and I am going to do the right thing....I will talk to Randy about us...I just don't know how - I don't want to do it over the phone or e-mail.

John - Ok...I am going I will talk to you later -- I love you

You - (smiling) I love you too.

You walk him to the door...he turns around winks at you and smiles.
