Just One Kiss Part 35

MJ POV
Madi, Vanessa and I sat at a nearby cafe in downtown Hollywood, sipping and conversing. Madi, sweet Madi, she's so grown it scares me. Her precious smile still lights up the room, but her appearance has changed so much. It's truly been ages since I've last seen my friend.
"She cheated." Madi said, chewing on the end of the green straw.
I pressed my lips into a tight line and nod once. Vanessa is quiet beside me.
Madi's eyes wander between Vanessa and me, a puzzled look.
"With a soccer player." Vanessa finally spoke, a bit of anger in her voice.
"She's in Africa now, right? Singing the World Cup song...damn her." Madi whispered, her long lashes fluttered towards a young teenage boy, her eyes focused.
"That sucks." She said, as If I didn't already know. "And why are you here?" Madi talked to Vanessa now, who was staring off into space.
"She's a friend." I mumbled. Madi shot an amused look at me.
"I think we're more than friends, Mikey poo." Vanessa grabbed a hold of my chin, forcing me to lip lock with her.
I cringed, and Madi erupted into a loud laugh.

Sky's POV
A week later, I packed my bags for 3 days and flew back to LA with Nina. I can tell you this much, Nina loves taking pictures with fans, I swear. This girl.
"Did you see that?! She had your name on her forehead!" Nina laughed, of course, I was flattered. Wouldn't anyone be if their name was on a complete stranger's forehead?
We made our through the mobs of paparazzi and fans through the LAX airport.
Once in the car, Nina got serious, "What are you gonna do? Go to court?"
I focused on my nails, what was I going to do if he didn't drop this? "He wouldn't take it that far."
"Sure about that? After what you did to him?"
"Enough! Long airplane rides make me grumpy." I pinched the bridge of my nose with my index finger and thumb, annoyed.
"Don't give me attitude for your stupid mistakes. You're lucky I even came with you for these shows." Nina was pissing me off big time, I ignored her.
"Can you stop?!" I half-shouted, "You're constantly telling me that I screwed up, when I know I did! Okay? I know I screwed up! Leave me alone!" Tears threatened to spill over my eyelids when I thought of what I did to Michael.
Then the sharp pain in my stomach caused a hurricane of tears and sobbing. I leaned over in my seat in pain, clutching at my lower stomach.
"Sky, sky! You okay?" Nina's hand was on my back, her hand holding back my hair.
The pain left as soon as it came, I focused on my breathing, beads of sweat formed on my forehead.
I blew out a gust of air, "God, that was horrible."
"What happened?" Nina's eyes focused on my pain-stricken face.
"I don't know. I probably have to eat. Let's go to that cafe in downtown Hollywood." I suggested, still unsure of this strange feeling in my stomach.
"Are you pregnant?!" Nina's voice went up several octaves.
I laughed, "Yeah, right. With whose baby?" I laughed again.
"Jesus."
"Can't be. He used one. I'm almost positive."
Nina snorted, "Almost positive."
I was sure Navas had used one that night we got intimate. I'm sure. Why wouldn't he? Nina held open the door to my favorite cafe, I was starving.

MJ POV
All of the sudden, Madi's jaw snapped open, her eyes looking past me. I turned to see Sky with Nina walking into the cafe. I almost cried in joy at the sight of Sky, I wanted to run up to her and take her in my arms, kissing her face, like everything was back to normal. I didn't.
By the time I turned back to Madi, she was halfway on her way to tackling Sky. I watched the whole scene play out, Madi tackled her with a hug from behind, Sky turned towards Madi, at first not recognizing her. I laughed, I could completely see Madi telling her who she was, my eyes began to sting.
Then Madi pointed to our table. I wanted to die right then and there.
Sky's expression changed immediately, the worry lines on her forehead formed, her brows pulled together. Then she quickly turned away. I breathed. I turned away from them.
Then I heard heels coming towards us.
Vanessa stayed quiet throughout this whole thing, which was shocking.
Nina sat right in front of me, "Why are you suing Sky?"
What? "What?"
"You're suing her. For what?" Nina pressured. I had no idea what she was talking about.
That's when Sky and Madi came to our table. Sitting in front of us. I was face to face with the person that I was still madly in love with, yet had betrayed my trust.
It didn't matter. My eyes focused on her, her every move, she tried so hard to not make eye contact with me. I removed my arm from around Vanessa and played with the straw wrapper, still studying Sky.
Madi kept babbling about jealous she was that Sky was involved with the World Cup. "...so do you like meet the players?" Madi questioned.
Sky's gorgeous green eyes met with mine, fireworks could have gone off and we wouldn’t have noticed. I got lost in those beautiful crystal green eyes of hers.
"Hello? Earth to Sky?" Madi waved a hand in front of Sky's face. She jumped.
"Oh, yeah. I met them. So did Nina. Great guys." Sky whispered, her head down.
Madi laughed, "They must be really great guys if you slept with one of them."
Sky was quiet. Shooting me hatred glances now.
"We need to go." Sky got up, pulling Nina with her, and kissing Madi on her forehead.
"Wait!" Madi yelled.
Sky stopped and turned towards Madi.
"I never got to tell you this, cause I was just told. Thank you for saving me in that crash when I was younger."
Sky instantly teared up, she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, nodded once and pulled Nina towards the exit. I got once last glance at her face.
