Why?

I've been noticing lately that there are more people than I thought who are very unhappy and tortured everyday. My question is...why? Why does this happen to certain people? Why does this even have to happen? What is the world becoming of ? I don't understand what it's like to be tortured well, because ..I don't wanna be conceited or mean or anything ..and please don't take this the wrong way, I dont like to label people, but I hang with the popular kids. Tell me why you get picked on.
