The Switch

"Come Ms Lauren! One more push! Come on!" One the doctors in charge at the hospital yelled. The poor woman didnt have the strength to go. She was getting tired by the minute. Her world was turning dim, the voices were becoming faint. But she knew she had to go one. To give birth to her twins. Lauren mustered up all the energy and gave one final push. And then, like heaven, she heard the cry of the first baby. She felt tears stream down her face. One more baby to go.

Outside of the hospital, a man appeared and rushed inside. He was carrying a baby in his arms. He had to make sure the baby was in a safe condition. He saw a nurse walking rapidly. He stopped her. "How can I help you?" She asked impatiently. "I have a newborn in my hands. But the baby is going to perish. Please take him. Before the King does miss." He explained. The nurse nodded in agreement. She took the baby out of his hands. The man looked at the baby. Tears streamed down his face. He gave the baby a small kiss on the forehead. And then he was gone. The nurse went upstairs to the newborn wing. Then she saw the doctor's face. "What are you carrying Nurse Allen?" "A baby. we need to find a safe place. The king will kill him." The doctor's eyes widened. He took the baby. And went inside the room.

Meanwhile, back to Lauren, the doctor knew it was late. The second baby didnt make it. He alerted the others. And as soon as he told was going to tell Lauren, another doctor appeared with a child. They both looked at each other and nodded. Lauren was handed both babies, and sang to them both.
