Chapter 16
Epilogue.
"Kauwe Kon Rook! Get back over here and apologize to your sister!" I shouted at the little boy who tried to run and hide in his room. He stopped and trudged back to the little two and a half year old girl with black curly hair who's cheeks were tear stained.
"I'm sorry Lilly," he said and hugged her, "come on let's go play with hot wheels," he said as he took her hand and lead her to his room. I smiled as I watched them walk down the hall.
I heard the door open and saw Tyrone, Seth, Embry, Jacob, Quil, Paul, and Sam walked in.
"Tork just left, he wanted me to say goodbye to you for him," Tyrone said and kissed me on the cheek.
"Dinner is on the table," I said, "where's Jeremiah and Leah?"
"With Emily at the movies. I swear, Leah and Jeremiah are inseparable ever since they found out they were imprints!" Seth exclaimed. I smiled.
"So how're the kids?" I asked Sam, he smiled.
"Their doing good,"
"How many you got now?"
"Six," he said proudly.
"Yeah, he's trying to have enough kids to have two basketball teams," Jacob joked. I laughed.
"With some subs?" I asked.
"You know it!" Sam said jokingly.
"Whew, poor Emily. I could barely handle having two kids," I said.
"I can barely handle two kids," Tyrone said and we laughed.
"Speaking of which, where are those two?" Paul asked.
"Playing with Kauwe's toy cars in his room," I said, "and no sneaking them sweets, Paul! They still need to eat dinner!" I called after him as he walked down the hall to them.
"Alright!" he called back, I smiled.
"How's Nessie doing Jake?" I asked.
"She's doing good," then he paused, "she's still wondering if she should go to college,"
"Oh, that's good for her," I said.
I was only twenty-five years old yet I already had a family of my own. I was happy. Tyrone and I had married four years ago, and later that year, we were blessed with Kauwe Kon Rook, two and a half years later the world welcomed Lilly Ann Rook to the world.
After losing Kon, I found it was a bit hard to breathe but, with Tyrone by my side, living wasn't a challenge any more. He met my parents who liked him and were glad I was able to move on from Kon. But, in honesty, I never moved on from Kon. I still wake up crying in the middle of the night sometimes. But, I know I need to be strong and try to be happy for him because that's what he would want.
Tyrone kissed me on the cheek again as he sat down next to me and held my hand with his left hand as he ate. I smiled. How would I have been able to do this without Ty? If it wasn't for him, I think I would have died to be with Kon, which means I would have missed out on being married, and having these wonderful and beautiful kids of my own.
I smiled and kissed Ty on the cheek before telling him I'm going for a walk. I went into the forest and searched for it.
There! There it is.
I walked into our cave and smiled. This was our haven. This was where Kon and I could love each other openly and just be ourselves.
I felt tears run down my face. It always hurt to think about Kon.
"I'm going to live my life happily, just for you, Kon. And when I know it's time to go home to you, up in heaven, I have Izzy who I made promise to kill me if I told him too," I said and wiped a tear away.
"But, until the day of our glorious reunion, rest in peace and watch down on me.
Que Quowle Kon."
