The plastic egg carton

Girl yawned loudly and stepped out of bed into her stained rainbow ugg boots. She wiggled her feet quickly into the ends of them and ran off into the woodland to search for her missing egg.
"Where could my egg be?" Girl whispered to herself quietly. Now you're probably wondering what a small child like this would be wandering around the forest at 6 o'clock in the morning looking for an egg. Well, I'm here to tell you that it wasn't just no ordinary egg. It was the last egg that her hen had laid before she died. The hen, (named ironically 'Death of the Last Egg'), had snuck away into the woods to lay her final treasure before passing on into hen heaven. Girl tried to stiffle her crying but alas, the thought of her only friend brought her tears.
"Why did you have to die, Death of the Last Egg?" Girl wailed at the top of her lungs. Suddenly, out of the blue came a purple unicorn with green wings.
"Girl, the plastic egg carton of truth and glory has been stolen. You must recover it before the world blows up at the hands of your hen," the colourful pegasus boomed.
"My hen?" Girl queried, "My hen is dead. How can she be the cause of an unknown destruction?" Pegasus nodded knowingly.
" I do not know, like all of the other creatures who are wondering why a hen would want to destory the world after it died." Pegasus then glanced at his back to make sure none of his feathers had been ruffled during his visit to the forest.
" Get on my back before I change my mind and fly elsewhere to find another child unworthy of this dangerous mission." Girl obeyed without question and jumped on to Pegasus' back. Her last vision of her house and surroundings would be one she would never forget.
