True Love pt 1

The wind was cold on her face, it made the tears sting more as she walked, slowly, deliberately, hoping someone would follow her, make sure she was OK. but no one did, no one ever did. these roads were so familiar she felt she walked them while asleep. the only way she'd ever walked them was alone. things from that nights events mulled over in her head, she tried to push them out, tried to forget. impossible. she began to ran, running so that the soles of her bare feet hit the pavement hard. there it was, the bridge. she ran and ran, getting closer until her pulse was so fast she felt it wasn't moving at all. she thought, one jump, and this would all end. one jump, and they would all be gone, all her problems, all her fears, all her regrets. she peered of the edge, city lights reflecting off the freezing, rushing water below. she couldn't. she just couldn't. she turned slowly and the rain began, first light and misty, then soon, pounding down hard from the sky. she walked slowly home, letting herself get soaked in rain and tears, pain and silence. arriving home, the lights were off, but she could hear them, down the hall, through the door, in their room. fighting and yelling and stinging each other with words which she most desperately didn't want to hear. walking upstairs, through the doorway, she climbed into bed, soaking wet, freezing and still crying. wishing someone, anyone would run to her, protect her from a world she was beginning to be sucked under into...
