The Golden Gates
Just a poem I wrote a couple days ago...
Chapter 1
The Golden Gates
A sea of dreams,
So vast and great,
Lies through the doors
Of the golden
Gates open when
angels sing their sweet
hallelujah,
The world stops to
Listen!
The time is near!
We live in a world so drear
And dark.
No one stops and listens to the
Lark that flies so high above,
Calling us to learn and
Love.
We seek knowledge for ourselves,
Never thinking about
Others that don't know how
To live in happiness and
Contentment.
We did this to ourselves,
Don't shrug away the blame,
or else our world will
Collapse
Like a flickering
Flame.
So vast and great,
Lies through the doors
Of the golden
Gates open when
angels sing their sweet
hallelujah,
The world stops to
Listen!
The time is near!
We live in a world so drear
And dark.
No one stops and listens to the
Lark that flies so high above,
Calling us to learn and
Love.
We seek knowledge for ourselves,
Never thinking about
Others that don't know how
To live in happiness and
Contentment.
We did this to ourselves,
Don't shrug away the blame,
or else our world will
Collapse
Like a flickering
Flame.
