2012: End of the world?

So I just got done watching Knowing (with Nicolas Cage in it) and tho I don't believe in aliens, I am beginning to seriously wonder if the world is going to end on December 21, 2012. So now I'm online researching it and a lot a data and case studies are showing that it most definatly IS possible. I'm posting some links if you want to check them out. And please let me know what you think because I'd like others opinions to help me try to figure out if I'm nuts to think this or not.
