Igniting the Spark

My legs were shaking as I walked into the theatre. This was my time to shine, my time to finally prove myself to everyone, prove that I wasnt the same little girl that was cheeky to the adults and danced all around town. I had grown up even though i was only 14 years old. Im good enough, i can do this ! I signed in and awaited for the competition to start. Butterflies erupted in my stomach as I breathed in deeply. I saw others practicing their routines but i wouldnt give away my moves ! I heard the audience erupt with applause and the host talk about the competition. "And first up is Anna..." he said and the audience kindly accepted her onto the stage. After 30minutes of performances it was near the end of the show which meant my turn. The audience had been screaming all night and the performers came out happy. I stood behind the stage getting ready for my entrance. I wasn't going to walk on and start, i knew the crowd would be bored of that. I decided to make my dance as special as can be. I had them dim the lughts and put on the flashing lights. The music blasted and i danced my way out. The music changed and the lughts went back to normal. Everyone screamed and i smiled. The song started playing "Your a jerk" and i did my jerking, rejecting and all that. No one else had tried this and i knew i had just then earned myself a place in nationals. I danced as hard as i could and felt my heart bump to the beat. I got into my final pose and the music stopped. The crowd sheered louder than before and some even gave me a standing ovation. I stood and bowed sweetly before walking calmly off stage. I was still a bit jittery from the performance and backstage people shot me glares. That could only mean i had raised the bar. The host anounced for all performers to come onstage and we lined up. I smiled and stood there nervously. My hand shook as i stared out into the audience. This was my first moment of glory.

My alarm beeped at me urging me to awaken. I rolled onto my back and slowly sat up. My clock read 5:30am, time for a run. So my name is Ashley, im 14years old and am born on the 9th of July. I have a happy mother and father that stand beside my dreams. They always support me unless my dads angry. But I knew they loved me, i think. Im 5'1 and weigh a healthy 48kg. I run everymorning, train hard everynight. This was because i was going to nationals! I dont eat to much to keep my weight down and dont bother with school. But this is the first glimpse into my confusing yet glorious life :)
