Chapter 1
Chapter 2
I was sitting on my bed, writing in my notebook, and trying hard to forget about today's drama.
That wasnt easy, Brittney's sick, and twisted attitude was hard for anybody to just "forget" about.
There was only one cure for it.
At the edge of my bed, a barbie doll poped up, and I rolled my eyes.
Zach was playing with them, AGAIN.
A Ken doll poped up, and you could only imagine what happened.
"Oh Zachy-poo, I love you so much!" Zach's voice was rather high, and squeaky, his idea of a girls voice.
"I love you too, baby!" Zach's voice deepened for the Ken doll.
I stared, my pen in my mouth, trying my best not to laugh.
He was such a nerd, and that's why I loved him.
The brother I never had.
"Wanna make out?" The girl doll asked.
"Duh!"
The dolls started "kissing".
Grossed out, I picked up a pillow, and threw it at the dolls, knocking em out of his hands.
He sat up, and grinned.
"What's the matter, Lauren? Cant a guy have some fun?" he teased.
"Your weirder then a romance novel." I retorted.
"and your stranger then a, ok, I cant top that." he admitted, a sheepish grin on his face.
I smiled, and looked at my notebook.
My smile faded when today's events flooded into into my mind again.
For a second, he had my mind off it, but now it was back, and I felt awful.
"Brittney had no write to say that." I told him.
His smile faded.
"Aw, Lauren, you dont have to feel sorry for me, some of what she said is true."
He was right, Zach wasnt like other kids, his dad left when he was five, and his little sister was two.
His mom has to juggle work, and her passion of being a gifted artist, I swear, if she got discovered, they'd be rich.
But they arent, and I wish I could do something about it.
"But why us, why you? she acts as if high schools her kingdom, and were just peasants." I said a bitter tone in my voice.
Zach put a hand on my chin, and tilted my face up.
His eyes were so peaceful, and I never once in my life have I seen them full of anger.
"Lauren, she's a fake, you have more beauty, and talent then she has in her whole body." he said sincerely.
"Yeah, well unless I win Pumpkin show Queen, that wont matter." I told him.
His hands let me go, and my face fell.
I needed a miracle, fantasy's weren't enough to beat Brittney Johnson.
