A Vampire's Tale

I tried to bloke the sounds of my mother and father fighting in the kitchen. My father had come home drunk and in no mood to talk to my mother. But my mother was very much in the mood to talk to him. I heard a crash in the kitchen and jumped out of my bed. Running to the kitchen I saw my father bending down to pick up glass that was on the floor. "What happened?" I asked walking towards my mother. "Nothing dear don't worry,head back to bed now." my mother said touching my shoulder. I looked to my father and glared. "You better watch yourself,I have the ears of a hawk." My father followed me out to the hall. "No need to worry I'm going to bed right now." I watched as he retreated to his bed. When I heard the door close,my mother came out. "Don't worry son,I'm fine." she kissed my forehead and went to the room. I stood there for a moment. 'My father doesn't deserve her at all.' I thought. But I walked to my room and lay on my bed,not drifting off to sleep until the dawn.
