My Destiny Or My Death
Okay this is the first chapter of my story. This story involves love, loyalty and tragidy.
Chapter 1
Memories
I was standing at my father's side. A small fragile little seven-year-old girl. I could only see two men pushing out a gurney with my mother's dead corpse on it. The only thing I could hear was the sound of two newborn babies crying. The sound of my two newborn sisters who still didn't even have names.
I didn't even hear my older brother's voice as he quietly whispered to me, "Shania come on let's go back inside with Salimon and Cassandra."
He tugged at my arm but I didn't move an inch. I couldn't seem to comprehend the fact that my mother was dead, I just couldn't. At that exact moment I started to scream.
With that scream I woke up jumping out of my bed. I have been having that dream ever since. It has been about nine years since my mother's death and the birth of my sisters.
I am no longer fragile or in any case little. Salimon and me are twins. We will be turning sixteen on October 23. Which is only four days away this Friday to be exact.
Salimon has black hair with medium tan colored skin. He's about 5 foot 4 with hazel blue eyes. While I have short darkish brown hair with caramel colored skin. I'm about 5 foot 4 as well with darkish green eyes.
I heard one of the girls yell and immediately followed by a crash. I ran out of my room and into the room across mine. I saw Emerald still in her bed with a scared look on her face. I turned to look for Sapphire and as I did something come flying in my direction. I jumped onto Emerald's bed just barely dodging the object that was coming at me. I turned to look in the direction in which the object had come from. Standing there was Sapphire pointing her hand in the direction in which I was just standing a second ago.
I just shook my head in disbelief just as Austin came into the room talking, "Oh get a hold of yourself Cassandra,? He then turned in my direction,? What is going on in here Shania?"
I turned to look at Sapphire and then I stood up to face Austin, “Nothing Austin. I just dropped a picture by accident and it broke. Don't worry I'll clean it up in a minute."
He just looked at me for a second and then just turned around to leave. But as he did he spoke with bossiness in his voice, “Fine clean it up and then get the girls ready for school. Oh and don't forget to pack their lunches."
I ignored the fact that he was bossing me around as I responded back, “Fine, oh yeah you guys can leave I'll walk the girls to school."
He didn't respond he just left the room without even looking at me. I knew that our father was putting a lot of pressure on him. Not just with him finishing high school but also taking care of us. Sense Dad worked from six in the morning to nine o'clock at night. But he didn't have to be so mean and serious about it all the time.
I then turned to look at the girls as I spoke to them softly. Forgetting about everything that happened with the flying object, “Can you two get ready for school while I get your lunches ready?"
They both nodded as I started walking out of the room. I walked through the short hallway that leads to the staircase. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen that was also right next to the living room.
I opened the fridge and got out the mayo, ham, lettuce, and cheese. I walked over to where the cupboards where and got out the bread. I also grabbed the girls? lunch bags.
After getting their lunches ready I glanced at the clock. It said that it was 7:15. I only had 15 minutes to get ready.
So I ran upstairs and into my room. I changed into a pair of jeans and a green top. I also changed into a pair of sneakers. I pulled up my short hair into a high ponytail. I grabbed my backpack and ran into the bathroom to brush my teeth.
I ran back downstairs to find the girls ready to go and with their lunches.
I looked at them both and smiled, "You two ready to go?"
Emerald smiled back as she responded back, "Yeah, let's go."
I hurried them out of the house as I locked it. We didn't talk on the way to their school. Which was only three blocks away from our house. It was a pretty big school but most of the kids were fifth through eight graders. Which was hard on the girls because most of them picked on them. They would make the girls cry. Because they didn't have a mother around to take them or pick them up from school.
As I walked with them to the front of the school I told them, "Salimon is going to pick you guys up today okay?"
Sapphire looked up at me as she spoke to me, “Why aren't you picking u up?"
I smiled at them both, :Because I have to stay after school today."
Emerald looked a bit upset as she spoke, “Will you come home after?"
I smiled at her, "Of course I will Emerald. Now hurry to your classroom. I'll see you guys when I get home okay?"
They both waved at me as they walked into the school. I then started to run to get my school or else I was going to be late for homeroom.
I didn't even hear my older brother's voice as he quietly whispered to me, "Shania come on let's go back inside with Salimon and Cassandra."
