In response to your "Who started vampires?" question, there really is no answer to that. I'm assuming you were intending Bram Stoker to be the answer, but vampires were around for centuries before he wrote Dracula. He just made up a few of the legends, like garlic.
Actually there was a queen that started Vampirism. Elizabeth. She was a lesbian and she'd have young women brush her hair etc. She was obsessed with her appearance and being young. She smacked a maid and drew blood and smoothed it on her hand and thought it felt great, like it was refreshing her skin and thought it would make it look younger. So eventually she bathed in young women's blood, thinking it would make her look younger.
That was pretty sweet. I loved it. ( I am a vamp. we like it when peope talk baout us. >:-) )
yea thats true..the queen story..and after that, she got locked up in her own mansion, only left with maids, but after, when they went to look for her when she died, her body was missing, and she had killed all her maids...so yea thats the whole story...and o she wasnt a queen she was a dutches
Draculas real name was Vlad Tepes, Vlad Dracula, Vlad The Impaler a romanian war lord who constantly fought the turks. Vlad lived in Wallachia, not transylvania, he only had a summer castle their built by imprisoned aristocrats that he believed would betray him as they did his father. Bram Stoker had never even been to romania, he wrote Dracula while sitting the some british library, reading about Vlad Tepes. Vampire mythos was around way before Vlad though. He wasnt the first by any means.

she wasn't talking about poetry, their were in fact many poems about vampires throughout differents cultures, Bram Stoker started the first vampire NOVEL.

Well really, the vampire folklore started more than a thousand years ago. The actual fictional stories were probably started by Bram Stroker, I suppose, but he certainly wasn't the first to come up with the idea.
Bram Stoker was the first to be famous for Vampire novels, but most certainly not the first to write about them.

I got on her web site recently to find out the 4th book title, and was SO EXSTATIC to find out that she is soon going to be re-writing Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse, BUT FROM EDWARD'S POINT OF VIEW...!!!! If you get on here fan site there is a one chapter sneak peek of Twilight's first chapter... It is going to be amazing!
