Stay Away From Me ~ Blaise Zabini ~ Part 10

I felt Blaise's arms tense around me. Malfoy smirked at him, then winked when he saw me looking. Blaise's grip tightened, making it impossible for me to move at all. I could tell he was scowling.

"Why don't we just settle this, right now?" Blaise growled.

"Believe me, I'd love to kill you, however that would make me look bad infront of Arabella." Malfoy chuckled.

"You already look bad, idiot!" I called from under Blaise's arms. It came out muffled, making my strong words seem weak. Malfoy laughed again.

"If you aren't here to settle this, just go away." Blaise growled.

Malfoy crossed the courtyard toward us, until he was only a few inches behind me. "I'll be seeing you around, Arabella." He said, stroking my hair. I could feel his breath on my neck. Blaise struck out, but Malfoy dodged out of the way. He walked off, cackling.

Blaise slowly released me, muttering his aggrivation. I crossed the courtyard to sit down. "Listen, Belle..." He finally said, turning toward me. "I think it would be best if you don't go anywhere alone for a while."

"I suppose I could fill Hermione in on this..." I mumbled, staring at the ground.

"Not good enough. Gra- er, Hermione isn't the best at defensive spells, is she? You better tell Harry as well." He glanced around, and I noticed how dark it had gotten.

"We'd better head back, before Filch finds us." I said. I stood, walking over to him. Lacing my hand in his, we walked back to the Entrance Hall, parting at the stairway.

The champions for the Triwizard Tournament were chosen a few weeks after I told Harry, Ron and Hermione about everything going on with Malfoy. I gasped along with everyone when Harry's name was called. Ron's attitude soon changed after that; he was completely ignoring Harry. Hermione and I had decided on taking turns trying to talk some sense into Ron. It was my day to hang out with Harry, so I sat down next to him at breakfast.

"Mornin'." I yawned, grabbing some toast.

"Morning," Harry said distractedly. He was watching Hermione yell at Ron.

"Don't worry about it, it's just a phase or something," I said. Harry gave a small smile.

I took a sip of orange juice - wait, not orange juice... Something amazingly wonderful that tasted like heavan and sunlight and everything good in the world. I chugged the entire glass, staring sadly at the bottom when a voice called out, "Did the stuff the Slytherin boy put in there make your juice taste odd?" I turned to find Luna Lovegood sitting next to me.

"Um... Hi, Luna. What was that you said?" I asked.

"That Slytherin boy... I think he's in your year. Just before you sat down, he poured something in your drink... What was it?" she muttered.

"Wait, what Slytherin boy?" I looked around for Blaise - no where to be seen.

Luna turned toward the Slytherin table. "There, that one." she said, pointing.

Dammit.

"H-Harry..." I said, grabbing Harry's arm.

"Hmm?" he said, looking from my horror-stricken face to Luna's carefree expression. "What is it?"

"That boy... Oh, I know now! It was a love potion!"

I could no longer feel Harry beside me. I was barely aware of his yelling. All I cared for was that face, that amazing face staring back at me. The amazingly bright hair, the beautiful grey eyes... The pure perfection. He looked toward me and our eyes met. He smiled and winked, and that was it. I didn't care about the rest of the world, because all that mattered was him. I was in love with Draco Malfoy.

Kinda shorter than usual, but it's like... 11. And I've been working on this f.o.r.e.v.e.r., so screw it. I'll make the next one long. :)
