My Life at Hogwarts School - Year 1

Bleeeeeeeeeeeeep!
7 a.m. Time to get up and ready. I got out of bed and stretched. I walked over to my bags. I had unpacked and re-packed my stuff over and over again for the past week making sure I had everything. I went back to my side table and picked up my wand. It was willow, 11 1/4 inch with a phoenix feather core. I set it back down and went into my bathroom. I brushed my brown straight hair and put on my favorite shirt and some dark jeans. I walked out and went down to the kitchen for breakfast. I got some cereal and sat down at the kitchen counter. Today was going to be great, I was sure of it.
My parents were up. It was now 8 o'clock. I was in my room re-packing my books when they came in.
"Good morning sweetie." My dad said.
"Morning." I replied not lifting my head.
"Big day!" My mom exclaimed. "Nervous?"
"Yeah." I said and looked up at them.
"Well we're going to have some breakfast." My dad said leaving the room and my mom following.
It was about 10 o'clock now and I had just finished checking my bags, closet, and drawers for anything I might have missed. I stood in the middle of my room. I looked around. My room seemed empty. I had only taken a few possessions and my clothes but it just felt that way.
"Honey, time to leave!" My mom called from downstairs.
"Coming!" I replied and locked my chest up.
I couldn't wait! I grabbed some of my stuff and took it downstairs. I went back up and grabbed the rest of my stuff. I picked up Scorch, my reddish-brown owl.
"We're going to Hogwarts, Scorch!" I said to him on my way down the stairs.
He just looked at me. My dad was putting my chest in the back of the car when I got down. I took my stuff out to him.
"Be careful with Scorch." I cautioned.
"I will." he said as he put Scorch in the back seat.
10:35. Time to go to King's Cross Station. Platform 9 and 3/4. I couldn't wait to get on the Hogwarts Express! I wanted to see the county side. I was nervous about seeing other people like me though. I got in the car and we left. I waved goodbye to the house as we drove away. This year was going to be an adventure. I knew it.
