Unexpected Love

May, 19, 1800
Countryside in London
Heavy rain pounds against the wood roof, as if to break through. Mother rocked back in forth in the old rocking chair, sewing a gown. Father and my brother, are in the study too busy to join us in the parlor. My sister playing a song she learned on the piano. And I, I was looking out the window, yearning to go outside and dance in the inviting darkness and downpour.
“Nicole come away from the window darling,” My mother sweetly calls. I let out a sigh, about to turn, when a figure catches my eye. A figure dressed in a black cloak approaching the door.
” Mother there`s someone at the door!” I call jumping off the stool as a knock sounds at the door. My father and brother come out of the study at the sound of the knocking.
” Whoever could it be at an hour and night like this?” My mother asks. Father opens the door and lets out a gasp. My mother tries to hide me behinds her skirts.
”Leave at once!” My father demands, but the figure, obviously male pushes my father aside and steps towards me and my mother.
“Joel, Susan, Nicole go upstairs at once!” My mother cries. Susan grabs my hand and starts to pull me away when the figure grabs my shoulder tightly. I cry out.
“No not her, please not her!,” Mother sobs falling down. But the Figure ignores my family`s screams and flings me over his shoulder like a rag doll, carrying me outside to the assaulting rain. I scream for my father and mother. But the rain quiets my screams and my family`s. This is the last time I would ever see my family. My life changing instantly and never being the same again.
