Una Sinfonia Melodoisa
Alisia is the daughter of royalty. She's probably the richest person on earth. However, since she loves learning and reading, kids at school are always picking on her. She has a loving aunt that she lives with. I'd rather not say too much more because it would spoil the story for everyone...
Chapter 1
Off We Go!
It was very early in the morning and no one had awaken yet. Alisia peered through her window. The sun was already shining brightly. She flung the windows open to let the warmth radiate throughout her room. She gazed down at the garden. It was full of roses, lilies, and irises, her favorite flowers. The grass was freshly sprinkled with morning dew. Alisia glanced up. There wasn't a cloud in the sky. Today was going to be a beautiful day.
Or at least it would have been if she had not had to go to school. It wasn't at all that she hated learning-- in fact, she loved learning-- but it was the abuse from the other children. Because she loved learning and read often, they called her a nerd. They had several other cruel names for her too.
She didn't look like she would get picked on at all, she was extremely gorgeous. She had long, golden hair and deep, sparkling dark brown eyes. Her skin had a sort of glow to it. It was as if her appearance had not a single flaw.
Alisia would kind of call herself rich. She had a lot of maids and things like that. She lived with her aunt in a somewhat big house. It had two stories. It didn't look elegant at all from the outside, just big, but when you stepped inside, you would feel as if you would melt. I won't go into a lot of details about it, but it was a very nice place to live.
The reason she lived with her aunt is a complicated matter. It wasn't because her parents didn't care for her or were dead or anything like that. They loved her a lot. They just thought it would be better for her to live on Earth. Yup, you heard me right. Her parents were the king and queen of Jupiter III. King and queen of the entire universe. She had a lot of brothers and sisters. Sixteen to be exact. Some of them were adopted. Alisia hadn't gotten to meet some of them. Most of the younger ones had been adopted by her parents after she had moved to Earth. As if they didn't have enough.
Alisia didn't want to tell anyone at school that she was a daughter of the king and queen of the universe. She didn't want to tell them that she had a lot of money or a nice house or anything. She didn't want any false friends. In fact, she pretty much succeeded in having no friends. Peer pressure and things, making it hard to talk to someone who's looked down upon, etc.
Onto another matter, if you have been wanting to know what her personality was like, I'll tell you now. She was a very kind person. She was good at forgiving. She loved animals and flowers and books. She was very bad at cooking. She also loved poetry and wished that one day she would be able to write a good paragraph of it. But that day was far away in her mind.
Anyway, it was an unusually quiet morning. Alisia couldn't hear any birds chirping or small animals rustling around. She couldn't see any either. It was very eerie. Alisia was afraid.
One thing you might want to know is that Alisia was a VERY paranoid person. She would think up stories that could in no way possibly be true. On this particular morning, she thought that the world had ended without her or zombies had taken over. Maybe everyone had evacuated. Her fear was relieved when one of her maids walked into her room. The maid looked completely normal... no green or paleness in her skin. She looked completely healthy.
"Up early are we?" her maid said.
"Mhm, what are you doing in here so early?"
"I came in to wake you up so I can change the bed sheets." The maid scurried over to Alisia's bed and took the sheets off without a word. It was all silence after that as Alisia watched the maid put freshly washed bed sheets on. The maid got the sheets as straight and neat as she could possibly get them. If you dropped a penny on them, it would bounce. Without a word, the maid smiled and nodded at Alisia and walked out of her room and shut the door. Back to her lonely, empty, bedroom.
Alisia took out a book from one of her bookcases. "The History of the Universe." Alisia loved books like that. Books full of information of the original solar system containing the nine planets, Shining Gem, the second solar system they discovered that was suitable for life, and Sunspots on Rainbows, the most recent one. They were still finding new planets in Sunspots on Rainbows. The history of Earth fascinated her most. What they did in the "old days" really fascinated her.
She glanced at the time. It was 6:23. If she didn't get ready now, she wouldn't have time to eat breakfast. She sprinted into her bathroom to get dressed. She chose to wear a pink short-sleeved shirt and black shorts. After she was done, she ran down the stairs. For some reason, she didn't have of an appetite, so she only ate some bacon and toast with milk. She watched her cook as he packed her lunch. He put in some chicken, watermelon, grapes, an apple, and a bottle of water. Some of her favorites. He put an ice pack in there so that everything would star nice and cool. She glanced at the clock. It was 7:05. She still had some time to dawdle around. She went off to find the maid so she could talk to her. Her first guess was that she was outside tending to the garden, so Alisia leisurely walked out the front door. She heard the birds who had been so quiet earlier tweeting freely and beautifully. Squirrels were rustling around looking for acorns. Robins were looking for worms to pull out of the ground. The air was refreshing. Alisia took a deep breath. Alisia started walking towards the garden. The smell of flowers became more evident. When she got there, the maid was no where to be found. Strangely, there had been a watering can left next to one of the lilies. Alisia picked it up and proceeded to water the flowers. It looked like they needed it. There hadn't been any rain in days.
"Ah, madam," said a voice that came up from behind and startled her, "you didn't need to do that, I was just about to water them." Alisia turned around. It was the maid. Apparently she had gone inside to get cutters.
"Anyway," the maid continued, "shouldn't you be getting ready to leave for school?"
"Eh?! What time is it?!"
"It's almost eight."
"Oh! Well then, I'll see you when I get home!"
"Wait!" The maid ran up and hugged Alisia. She sounded as if she was getting ready to cry.
"Hm? What's wrong? I'll be back right after school! It's not like I'm going away forever!" The maid let go.
"Right. I'll see you then! Oh, and don't forget to take your lunch."
"Thanks!" The maid was a lifesaver. If she hadn't reminded Alisia, Alisia would be starving at lunch time. Alisia sprinted back into the house, grabbed her lunch, said her thanks to the cook, and ran out to the vehicle in the driveway. Her aunt had been waiting for her for a little over five minutes. Alisia's backpack was in the back seat and Alisia climbed in and sat beside it. She was off to another awful day of being picked on. She didn't dare tell her aunt that, though. Her aunt was the kind of woman to go to school and beat those punks up. Even though Alisia didn't know it, her aunt secretly knew. She was just waiting for Alisia to get up the nerve to tell her.
