There are only two versions of the Acceleration Quiz, easier and more difficult. The easier test will test both your basic and proficient knowledge of acceleration, velocity, etc., whereas the more difficult test will really test your advanced knowledge and critical thinking. This quiz has 10 questions. Getting 10 right is an A+, 9 right an A-, 8 right a B-, 7 a C-, 6 a D-, and 5 or less and F. Good luck.

  1. 1

An object's velocity changes by 5 meters per second over the course of one second. What is the object's average acceleration?

  2. 2

An object's velocity changes 36 meters per second over the course of 4 seconds. What is the object's average acceleration?

  3. 3

An object's velocity changes 150 meters per second over the course of 300 seconds. What is the object's average acceleration?

  4. 4

An object's acceleration is 2 m/s/s for 3 seconds. What is the object's total change in velocity?

  5. 5

An object's velocity changes -93 m/s over the course of 3 seconds. What is the object's average acceleration?

  6. 6

An object's acceleration is 10 m/s/s for 16 seconds. What is the object's total change in velocity?

  7. 7

An object's acceleration is 600 m/s/s for 25 seconds. What is the object's total change in velocity?

  8. 8

An object's acceleration is 6 m/s/s until its velocity reaches 12 m/s. For how long did the object accelerate?

  9. 9

An object's acceleration is 30 m/s/s until its velocity reaches 1260 m/s. For how long did the object accelerate?

  10. 10

An object's acceleration is 100 km/s/s until its velocity reaches 112500 m/s. For how long did the object accelerate? (hint: 1km = 1000m)
