What do you think about Gollum? Think he could of changed? Think he tried?

I think that after 500 years had passed of him having the ring, that it was virtually impossible for him to every be the same. He did try... Smeagol was in control for a while, but evil eventually won. I think he was doomed to be evil after being possessed by the ring for so long though. Poor guy.

True! I think if he really really tried maybe he could of become not so evil but it was hard and you would have to be very brave! Frodo knew that and thats why he felt sorry for him. Sam didn't because he didn't have the ring. One time i asked you which name do you like better Smeagol or Gollum and i said i didnt know but maybe Gollum but now that i think about it I like the name Smeagol better because it was the good side of him. Poor Poor guy! Ya gota no like him but you got to feelsorryforhim
