First she didn't really care
She didn't see just what was there;
But soon she began to realize
If given the chance people materialize.

So she opened her heart
And was off to a great start,
but alas, her victory was short-lived.

He was her best friend
Always there in the end;
But secretly she wished for more
And oh, how when she saw him her heart would soar!

She loved him, she was sure
But the began reality would soon obscure,
For she never did love him out loud
And her fantasies became a cloud.

Never did she expect to find
This love could not stay in her mind;
It was only her secret dream,
It's key nowhere to be seen

Until one day, he revealed his secret love for her
And her fantasies and realities became a blur.
When asked if she liked him too
She told him 'no', not knowing what to do.

Now it's been a year and a half
And she hates herself for not embracing a fact.
