Chapter 1

the save

by: Mivvy
" Ahem." The corner of the room was dark, but a silent ray of sunshine was unfolded and layed on the corner's breast. It seemed as though the sun was dissapearing more and more every day, and storm clouds took it's place. Even though I prayed, my prayers didn't seem to reach far. Yes, the world was still slowly disolving from a ig great happy place to a dreary world full of no color. I sighed, and made my vot up, folding the corner into a hospital bed. " Corner, top, fold and sweep." I recited the words in my head. Then trotte back downstairs, " Ouch!" The metal floors scraped my back leg and I screamed. Metal staircases would be a good place to wear knee and ankle pads, because I dont think I've ever gone down the stairs once without scraping my ankle. I couldn't even count how many inguries I had.

After I got down the stairs, I had some supper, and was ent straight to the well to get some healing water for granpa. Gramps had breen ill for the past year, but grammy has kept him alive by using a magical healing sav, kept safe in the well of secrets. My grandma was a witch, The fairy witch of Greater Sunshine Village, and she knew all the magic secrets, so as I put it, I and Granpa were lucky to have her as a relative.

" Hury up dear." Grammy took the water and put one crippled hand on it's surface. It shimmered and popped, but a burst landed on Gramps and he came back to life.

I then was sent to the orchards to catch fairy dust for Grammy, dshe claimed she ran out. Catching fairy dust was hard, since you had to catch faies to get it. All the faireds were ok in Greaterville, but these in the orchard were not so nice. " Oh faires!" I called, tapping on carved wooden houses as big as my fist. A small fairy opened her door and smiled at me. This fairy was wearingas butttercup hat and a long flower petal dress. Her shoes were pointed, and her eyes sparkled. " How may I hel pyou?" Her voice light and twinkly. " Oh, I know you, you're Eli, the princess fairy." She curtsied and I blushed. " Hi Jalandi. I was wondering if I could use your fairy dust." " Id on't know. My daughter, Melli, is being nasty today, but let me see what I can do." She toddled off, so I sat in the grass, gazing up at the graying sky.
