Modern ATLA
just an experiment im doing. not really gonna put effort into it unless i have a super good idea, like at the start. They will have the same names as in the show, dont worry. And, where i live, the school is different. high school= grades 8-12 meaning ages 12-18. and we only have four periods or blacks or whatever they are called.
Chapter 1
The groups of AHS
Before i start this, let me explain Atla High School. The students are seperated into four main groups. The ones who hang out in the southern courtyard, and the front fountain are called the waters, because they hang out by the water fountains. The ones who hang out by the principals office and throughout the halls, are called the fires. The ones who hang out everywhere else outside, are called earths. Dont ask me why, im just the narrarator. There used to be airs. The ones who hung out everywhere, but they dissapeared. No one dared hang out anywhere but where they were supposed to.
Katara pulled her brother from the bus, so they could have good seats on the fountain. First day is the best for them to assess the new people. After they settled down, Zuko, Azula, Ty-Lee and Mai entered. Katara stuck out her tongue at them. "Stupid fires."
They were like the royalty of the fires. Mainly because everyone was afraid of Azula. Sokka nudged Katara out of her thoughts as a new boy with an arrow hat skated by. He slipped on some water, and fell. Katara rushed over. "Oh my gosh! Are you ok?"
He blinked in the morning light. Katara looked beautiful. He had to say something cool. "Uh, hi im Aang. Im new." That was not very cool. "Hi, im Katara. Want me to show you around?" He nodded. She waved good bye to Sokka as they left.
"Ok, our school has different stereotypes than most. We're seperated into four different groups. Well, actually three, now that all of the airs have dissapeared." "Airs?" "Oh, they were able to go through all the groups, no trouble, but they started leaving. So we have, waters, earths, fires and would-have-been airs."
He nodded, he couldnt help but stare at her. "So, lets go to the principals office. As much as i hate going past the royal pains in the a-" "Hello, commoners. New meat?" They looked up at Azula. Mai and Ty-Lee by her side. "Im taking him to the principals office, Azula. Leave us alone." Then Katara turned to Mai, the goth. "Wheres your emo boyfriend? Sulking in the corner again?" "Why you- Ty-Lee, where are my knives?" "I pu them in my locker. We arent supposed to have knives in school. Dont you dare- Mai come back."
They ran off and Katara glared at Azula. "Let us through." She sighed and got out of the way. Aang looked confused as Katara led him to the principals office. "Hello, who is this?" "Its a new kid." Katara turned to Aang. "I'll leave you here with him. I have to get to class." She left, leaving Aang staring akwardly at the principal, his skateboard at his side.
Very short chapter, i am sorry. Next one will be my usual length.
