NOT ALONE (poem- by me XD)
Ok so hey guiys, this is my first time ever submitting a poem to quibblo, so BE NICE! I like writing poetry, i do it in my spare time as well as writing novels and such. Comment and send me messages, I might do some more poetry, be free to tell me if you truly think i suck. ;p I take constructive criticism well, as long as you don't straight out tell me I'm terrible. Oh, and I put in an extra poem called 'embrace'. KK, thx guys!

Chapter 1
YOU'RE NOT ALONE
There's a depth in solid earth,
There's a death, in a babies birth,
There is warmth among the ice,
But the cold the fire brings would suffice,
When I step, someone falls down,
When I swim, someone will drown,
And when you cry, like nobody cares,
We can hear you, from over here.
You're not alone.
Is death not good enough?
We seem to cheat it all the time.
Is life, not rich enough?
They always strive to brighten mine.
And is it not human, to lay in bed at night, and think:
How far have I come?
And is the inevitability of death too much,
Or is the human race simply dumb?
Death. I shudder at the word,
Others seem to embrace,
But what really, are we getting in to?
In this life-long marathon race?
Friends, family, wealth and leisure,
Perhaps these things are only built for pleasure,
To ensure that when we reach our end,
We have good memories and much love to send,
Or are there other reasons,
Rest assured,
We accept death gracefully,
And embrace the lord,
And are the pleasures of life, simply a show?
These are the things, we may never know.
