Chapter 1

Moving to California (1)

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock going off. "BEEP BEEP BEEP." "Urghh" I said slamming my fist on the alarm clock. "Shana honey it's time to get up were leaving in 1 hour." I dreaded today. Why you ask? I'm moving...to California. I honestly don't want to leave my friends. Oh well I guess. I get up, get dressed and went downstairs. My mom and dad were both drinking coffee, sitting at the table. I quickly grabbed a piece of toast. "You better go get the rest of your things and bring it downstairs." My dad said. "okay, heading up there now." I went up to the almost empty room. One box laid there, that was the rest of my things. I picked it up and looked at the empty room. I sighed then walked back down the stairs. I went outside and handed my dad the last box. "This is it" I said. "Alright, all we need is a couple things in the family room and we should be ready to go." I walk back in and saw my mom bring the last of things outside. I follow her and got into the SUV. I watched the house I grew up in disappear slowly. I put my headphones on and stared out the window the whole way there.
