Prologue: In My Life.
There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers

And these memories lose their meaning

I couldn't remember how I'd gotten here and in Limbo at first. Then the memories started coming back through my mind. My whole life and my death was all laid out in front of me, crystal clear on a glimmering sheet of ice. It hadn't really hurt when I died, I just hadn't expected it. The shock, ice cold like a bucket of water had rained down on me. I remember my family, my friends it was.... weird being in this place. I hadn't gotten used to being in Heaven yet. More things to see and do. But mostly I sit here, in this great big oak tree alone looking at the thin sheet of ice I have in my hands. It won't melt it can't I have no body temperature here and when I do I am hot but not boiling with blood pounding through my veins. Why? I have no need for the things I did on Earth.... except for my family....
