Time Freezes
This is like the first poem I've EVER written in my entire life, so be gently :)! Do be honest, though. Tell me what you think. Where I need to work on. Just don't be like that fing s-cked man! Or mean stuff like that, mmkay? ;) I'm usually a novel writer, but it always doesn't hurt to try something new. Especially if it's what the guy I like, likes :)! Awesome! Read on!

Usually, I’m random.
My thoughts careen everywhere, but still.
And as often as my heart beats,
My thoughts change.
Oh, but why,
Is that when I think of just one person,
Time Freezes?
My heart flutters?
A smile escapes onto my lips?
My eyes light up in astonishment,
In the wonder and amazement that is he?
Why, oh, why,
That when I think of just one thought,
My life seems utterly happy?
But when I turn my head away,
I’m scared;
Scared of getting hurt.
Scared of feeling pain.
When, all I want,
Is to be held tight and dear,
Not pushed away.
Is it truly that hard,
To want somebody, but fear that exact feeling?
When my thoughts slow to that one single thought,
And I see those hazel eyes,
The lips smiling,
I melt.
And when I think of you,
Well, just read the poem over.
