This is for WritingFanatic's contest...its called The Moving Stairwell (crap title i know)

"Ah, feels good to be back. Mum and Dad don't understand powers like mine." I told my best friend Lilac.
"I can tell, when you got here you had black eyes and black hair, like you were upset. Now your blonde with blue eyes, like your calm." Lilac was the best at reading me. She, unfortunately though, was a Hufflepuff. I had almost no friends in my house. I'm Ravenclaw. Other than those 2 years higher than me. My two besties are Lilac (Hufflepuff) and Missy (Slytherin). Yes I know what you're thinking, a Hufflepuff a Slytherin and a Ravenclaw best friends?? Actually Slytherins are quite nice...when Gryffindors aren't around. Missy says that Slytherins (her year actually) are really nice but try to keep up the "we're so cool cuz we're bad" image for the Gryffindors. The legendary Harry Potter is coming this year!! Isn't that so cool!!! On the train ride, three 1st years sit in our compartment. A ginger boy, a black haired boy with glasses, and a few moments later a bushy haired girl. As soon as they started conversation we left.
"1st years, always think they know what to do!' Missy snickered.
"You know, that boy with the glasses seems awfully familiar.Like i should know his face." I said to them, trying to remember why I knew him.
"I know. He seemed like he was high class wizard." Lilac offered.
"Lets get our robes on. We're arriving soon. I don't want Snape to yell at us again." I said rushing to the girls' lavatory.After we changed we found a compartment with some other 3rd years. The train finally arrived in Hogwarts. The Thestral-Driven carriages were waiting..I could see the thestrals..I had seen someone die. It was my fault, too. I swore to myself i would never use my powers again. Never.
