Danger ~ Prologue
Erm, I dunno.. I'm kinda writing this story as I go along. ^^
Chapter 1
Prologue
For once in my gray life, I felt cool, I felt good, I even felt relaxed. My sister, Kaitlyn, was at my side, tweaking my dress to perfection. Picking up Jasmines' birthday present, I sighed anxiously, and walked down the creaky wooden stairs. The room was colourful and the food was more vivid than ever before. I could taste life for once; a sweet, mysterious yet addicting taste. My brown bouncing hair shone brighter than the moon which was gleaming outside, and my eyes brighter than the stars. The loud music of the party boomed as I walked up to Jasmine, bumping into a few angry people on the way.
"Hey, Jasmine," I grinned, handing her a birthday present. She accepted it happily, thanking me, before freezing to the spot. She kept looking past my shoulders nervously. Her smile faded and her face was ghostly white. My stomach twisted - I could feel the nausea swirling around like a vortex.
"Roxy, you have to get outta here," she whispered under her breath, looking terrified. My heart sank to the floor as I heard his footsteps walking up behind me.
Jasmine closed her eyes, with a petrified look on her face. I felt his cool breathing against my neck. There was no mistaking his cruel presence behind me.
"You have been a very bad girl, Roxy. Now, come to me," he whispered into my ear furiously. Jasmine was frozen to the spot, horrified. He strode in front of me angrily.
"Not again," I murmured softly, attempting to be brave. He smiled, and his flawless teeth were shown.
"Yes, again," he muttered quickly, and the knife was at my throat. I heard Kaitlyn scream, and the lights went out.
The life I had for about five minutes was gone again, as blackness took over my weak vulnerable body.
The blackness was heavy and crushing me, trying to force me out of my own body. It was like a violent storm; lifting me up and throwing me far away. My head was pounding, asking for to drift away into a slumber of sleep, and for it all to stop. I tried to listen to it, but the storm was screaming beside me, in my ear, not allowing me to get away. I tried to scream back at it, but no sound was coming.
Then I was falling, drifting away from the storm, its screams faintly dying away, and my head drifting into the slumber of sleep it asked for.
