THEY'RE MAKING AN UMBRELLA ACADEMY MOVIE!?

In 2009, rumors began about an Apocalypse Suite film. In an interview on May 1st, 2011, Gerard Way confirmed these rumors but stated that he would not reveal the film’s director. He confirmed that he would be directing the score for the film as well. He was quoted saying that Brendon Urie, the lead vocalist of the alternative rock group Panic! At The Disco, might be featured working with Way on one of the tracks: ‘It’s early days yet,’ Way explained, ‘but I’d really love to do a song (with Urie). His vocals are exquisite, and he really knows his way around a studio, so we’ll see how that pans out in the future.’


Another thing Way confirmed was that his younger brother and band mate Mikey Way auditioned for the role of ‘The Séance’ for the production. ‘Mikey had never really shown any interest in acting until we got news of an Apocalypse Suite film deal. He really wanted to prove to me, and, I’m thinking, himself, that he could do it. So me and a couple of the guys from the crew talked about and we gave him some dialogue. I was genuinely impressed… he’s so talented and I don’t think he realizes it. It would be an honour to have him bring Klaus to life.’
