Midnight at Noon

"Hey, Gabby," Brie shouts across the hallways of school. She runs to Gabby.
"Hey, Brie! What's going on?" Gabby replies.
"Not much. How about you?"
"Not much. So, I met this person today. Her name is Olivia. Olivia Goldenseal."
"Oh, yeah! I know her! She's like one of my BESTEST friends! I've known her since kinder garden. She's really cool! So, what about her? Like, what did you two talk about?" Brie asks.
"Actually, you! She saw my folder that you signed. She said 'Oh! I didn't know you knew Brie!' and I said 'Yeah! We always hang out.' and then, we started talking about other friends that are really close to us. She said you were her closest friend, though," explains Gabby.
'Really?! I feel so special now' Brie thought. "Oh, cool." Brie smiles widely.
"You probably feel really special right now," Gabby starts laughing.
"Yeah. You know me so well!" Brie starts laughing.

Brie and Gabby start talking next to Brie's locker. The bell rings and everybody scurries off to their classes. Brie and Gabby are walking back to class. They bump into Olivia.

"HEY, YOU GUYS!!!!!!" Olivia sounds suprised to see them.
"Hey," Gabby and Brie say at the same time.

Lunch. Gabby, Brie, and Olivia are sitting together.

"So, Brie," Olivia says.
"That's my name," said Brie.
"Did I ever give you my phone number? I know I gave you mine, Gabby. But, did I give it to you, Brie?" asks Olivia.
"Uh, no." replies Brie.

Olivia rips a piece of paper from her notebook and writes her number on it.

"Maybe if you two call me, I can put us on three-way," Olivia insisted.
"Yeah! Totally," Brie says.
"Alright, well. According to the clock, lunch is almost over," Gabby says.
"Alright, see you!" says Olivia.
"See you guys later!" Brie says.
