• Emo is not only defining an attitude, but also a fashion that are coming from emocore (emo music). Emocore is a combination between hardcore and punk music which was very popular in Washington DC in the late 80's.

what do you get out of the poem at the top of this page?

• Emo get picked on a lot and get depressed by what people say about them so they just start cutting them selfes to help relive the anger they feel
• Internalizing pain and reflecting that back on yourself seems like way to avoid addressing the cause of the pain. Stubbing your toe may take your mind of a headache but it doesn’t change the fact that your hear still hurts. Addressing the cause of the pain and taking steps to improve it is the only way to make it better.
