The Beast Within

The Beast Within

Reads: 38 | Chapters: 1 |

I wrote this poem after I saw the movie "Wolfman." The movie was pretty good; the scenery was amazing, loved the plot line, and transformation into a werewolf was so accurate! I liked the movie overall, but seeing the werewolf outcome the producers had was horrible. It basically looked like a human with excess fur -.-
Anyway, this is a poem of what I think it's like to be a werewolf, how the transformation goes and how drastic the changes are. Enjoy!

Chapter 1

Werewolf Transformation

Whenever there's a full moon, you know what to do.
You'll run and hide away if you know what's good for you.
There's a beast inside me I myself cannot ever control,
And when the full moon rises, the monsters comes and takes its toll.
Dark fur covers my body; sharp claws replace my hands;
Growls make up a deepened voice that no one understands.
Fire courses through my veins, boiling up my body;
My mournful howls freeze men on the spot, a haunting melody.
My newborn fangs craze for flesh, to thirst on humans' blood
As they hunt for me each moonlit night, trekking through the mud.
But they can't stop me, no one can, from continuing to kill,
To take the life that God gave man upon His own free will.
I would never do this; it's the beast within; you know that it's true.
So whenever there's a full moon.....you know what to do.
