The Fifth Element

"Arent you a little young to be a tour guide?" I forced a smile on my face as i turned back to the tourists, the one who asked the question was a little younger than me. I jsut laughed. "Yes, but love the job." Time for the same old lie again. "My mother was a tour guide. When she died, this was how i stayed close to her. Besides, meeting new people is always great." Another girl put up her hand. "My friend wants to know how old you are." "Well cant he just ask that himself?" She shook her head. I was starting to get pissed, but didnt show it.
"Im seventeen. Any other questions?" "How many languages do you know?" "Oh meu deus, essas questões estão me matando!" "Excuse me." I looked back at her and smiled. "I know three languages fluently, and a little bit of some others. Now any more questions, not concerning me?" These tourists are worse than the last group, and all their attention is on me. I mean, i cant blame the guys. The uniforms they make us wear are way too revelador. "What are those languages?" "Por que eu? Portuguese, English and Icelandic." "Why Icelandic?" "Svo ég get gert þetta. Ég trúi ekki að ég þarf að setja upp með fávitalegur ferðamenn þínum! Allt bara vegna þess að ég gæti þurft að vista skaft þinn á nótt!"
I said that all with a smile, then continued on with the tour. After it was over, i brought them back to their hotels in the bus, and waved as they left. "Good bye, bye now. See you all bright and early tomorrow morning!" After they all left i collapsed in the seat beside the driver. "Ai de mim. Hit it, Al." With that we left. Al dropped me off at the lab and i waved as he left. I walked in and slammed the door. "Tulio! Tulio? Any kidnappings since i've been gone?" I dumped my uniform, which i had taken off in bus, on my couch. When silence greated me, i walked further into the lab. "Tul?"
Nothing. "Tulio Vertego! Ef þú dont koma út hér rétt þetta augnablik, ég sver ég-" He wasnt there. His desk was empty, all that was left were the monitors focused on the arena and in front of a few different hotels. "Out on another one of his outings." I sat in front of the monitors and put my feet up on the desk. Then i saw a note on the keyboard. "Whats this?" I picked it up and read it out loud. "'Get your feet off of my desk, Octivia.'" I groaned.
"How does he always know that?!?" Then i saw movement on the screen. "Hm? Whats this?" I zoomed in a little on it and saw four people being dragged away from their rooms. "Leão!" I grabbed my jacket and helmet. "Its always when im about to have some down time, isnt it? Now i have to go save their sorry buts and find Tulio!" I went outside and shut the warehouse door. "Why is Tulio's lab in a warehouse? Couldnt he have used a basement?" I got on my motorcycle and rode off. "Then again..... Does he even have a home?"
I switched on the voice changer in my helmet. Then i got off my motorcycle in an alleyway near the arena. Then i jumped onto the roof and studied the scene. They had the four tourists fighting one of their brutes. Brutus. "Such a fitting name." They were all cornered. Guess its time for me to come and save the day. Again. I got on my motorcycle and drove back to the lab. "Now where does Tulio keep that button again?" I found it by the computer and pressed it. Where my motorcycle was, now the floor sunk and when it came back up, it revealed a high tech car. "Enough to fit five of us, i think." I put my helmet back on and got in the driveres seat.
I drove it out and through the streets of Rio back to the arena. "Now how do i get in?" I stopped at a fork in the road. "Go in the back, or the front?" Then i saw something coming from both roads. "Guess im breaking in this time!" I revved the engine and went straight for the thin wooden walls. "Should've brought the guns. This would've been so much easier. Guess its water freezing power this time." I stuck my hand out the window and tightened it into a fist. The water in the wood froze and i crashed through it. "Just like glass, man." I laughed.
"Magnífico!" I drove up the stairs and burst through the flimsy gate. I screeched to a stop beside the four teens and opened the door. "Get inside." "But-" "If you dont want to die, then get inside!" They still didnt move. "Oh meu deus! Just get in! Do you want me to leave you here." They scrambled in and i made a break for the wall. The girl behind me shook my shoulder. "Are you crazy?" I put up and hand and made my fingers about an inch apart. They shot at us, but being the bafoons they are, missed and made a perfect hole for us to get through."Yeah, thought so." We just had to make it to the roof on the other side. The girl behind the guy in the passengers seat screamed. "We're not going to make it!"
I revved the engine. Come on! Dont die on me! We just made it, with the tires bumping off the side of the building. I smirked. "Made it." I hear Leão scream behind us. "Bruxa preta! Volte aqui com os escravos!" I looked over at the guy. "Can you come over here and take the wheel while i do something?" He nodded and moved over. I squirmed out the window and sat on the wondow sill. "Nunca imbecil! Eles não seus escravos! Eles são pessoas! Não importa o quão idiota o são!" I got back in and the boy moved over again.
I drove them to the lab and saw that Tulio was back. "Hello O.G. I see you have some more people." I nodded and turned back to the scared kids. "Relax kids. Sit on the couch, and i'll explain everything." They sat down and i walked over and stood in front of them. I put a foot on the table and Tulio cleared his throat. "Fine. Por que não eu tenho meus pés sobre a mesa?" "Seria ótimo se seus pés nem sempre foram tão sujo." "Eles não seriam suja se você estivesse aqui para salvar essas pessoas em vez de mim!"
One of the cleared their throat and i turned back to them. "Right, i need to deal with you guys." "Well thats nice." I rolled my eyes and took off my helmet. I shook my hair out and looked back at them. "Im Octivia. This is Tulio's lab. You're safe here, and i suggest you stay here until Leão cools off about his 'escravos' being lost."
